Our Insurance and Reinsurance practice has advised and represented the world’s leading Insurance and Reinsurance Companies in the world for more than 20 years. We are active across every aspect of regulatory, organizational, operational, transactional and claims-related matters, both on transactional day-to-day matters and for special projects. In particular, we represent Mexican Insurance Companies (including subsidiaries of major multinational insurers) in Corporate and Regulatory matters such as Licensing, Financial and Solvency Regulations, Investments, Corporate Governance, Anti-Bribery and Anti-Money Laundering Measures.
We also advise global insurers in the establishment of their Mexican operations and in the acquisition of joint ventures with Mexican insurance companies. Insurance related advice on cross-border trade is a particular strength. We’re also proactive, offering support on product development including, among others, direct marketing arrangements with major Mexican credit card operators and retailers, implementation of reinsurance arrangements and broker incentive plans. Finally, we regularly advise clients on national and international Insurance and Reinsurance Arbitration and Litigation.
