Mr. Vazquez has vast experience in Energy-related transnational transactional issues, such as drafting Commercial Agreements and Instruments, Financing Structures, and counseling his clients on complex Legal and Regulatory cross-border transactions. He participated as Legal Head in developing various projects and conducted negotiations in various Joint Ventures and Acquisition deals. Mr. Vazquez has developed and designed long-term Legal Infrastructure.
Projects, drafted Commercial Agreements, and heavily regulated industry contracts, including EPC and O&M Agreements.
He has actively conducted Audits and Litigation related to Regulatory Compliance for various Energy companies. This entailed ensuring adherence to industry-related or environmental permits and various obligations with SENER, CRE, ASEA, SEMARNAT, and CNH. Mr. Vazquez has also negotiated and drafted PPAs under the Self-Supply model and counseled companies for the bid of long-term Energy and Power Supply Agreements. Furthermore, Mr. Vazquez has advised diverse companies in bidding on Public Contracts, including upstream Public Bids (rounds 1, 2, 3, and Farm-outs) for E&P Contracts and Transmission projects.
Moreover, Mr. Vazquez has participated as a Consultant in Constitutional and Federal jurisdiction Litigations regarding new regulations or laws and Commercial Arbitrations between companies related to the Electric and Hydrocarbons Industry.
