Mr. Hill has over 18 years of experience in Advisory and Litigation in Foreign Trade, Customs, Tax, and Administrative Law. He has assisted both domestic and international companies on matters such as origin verifications, customs valuation, lawful importation and possession of foreign goods, tax refunds, and the interpretation and application of international treaties, among others.

He has supported companies across multiple industries in securing and managing foreign trade promotion programs such as IMMEX and PROSEC, as well as authorizations including VAT and Excise Tax certifications and the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Program.

He has also been a speaker at several conferences on customs and foreign trade both in Mexico and abroad and has co-authored various scholarly articles.

Mr. Hill has extensive experience in consulting and litigation in foreign trade, tax, and administrative law. He has been involved in key proceedings such as origin verifications and foreign trade audits, including those related to fixed assets and IMMEX. He has also managed tax refund requests and obtained authorizations for IMMEX and PROSEC programs, as well as VAT/Excise Tax and AEO certifications, ensuring close follow-up throughout each process.

He has represented clients during home visits, desk audits, and origin verifications, and has assumed legal defense in all subsequent stages, including administrative appeals, annulment trials, and constitutional injunctions (amparo). He has secured favorable rulings in proceedings before PRODECON, strengthening his expertise in taxpayer defense mechanisms.

His practice also includes assistance in customs due diligence processes in mergers and acquisitions, which has enabled him to identify key risks and opportunities in significant transactions.

In addition, he has actively contributed to the development of innovative services within the Firm, aligned with clients’ specific needs, achieving positive results in both the planning and execution of legal strategies focused on import and export operations.

He complements his professional practice by delivering training courses to clients of the Firm as well as to the public, sharing his expertise and technical knowledge on key issues in foreign trade, customs, and tax law.
